Just what is "sharing"?

Just what information is shared? I don't want my private information shared.

I entered a new winery in my address book and uploaded the information but I do not see it there when sharing.

I am running the demo but I cannot upload/share any of the new information that I've entered.

Do I have to be connected to the Internet to use Cellar! ?
